fwiw – I’m a follower of the “Rolling Poetry Machine” way of working where you have a couple years worth of writing in various stages of completion which you read and revise regularly until you reckon a piece is worth trying out on a publisher. A bit like a conveyor belt, but some poems take much longer than others, need more attention etc etc…
